Savvy and I are expecting. We just heard our little baby's heartbeat yesterday, and we're about 13 weeks along. We are due around the 19th of July. We're excited. I'll post updates as it goes along, but as for now I'm just excited to share the news.

College Football

Ok, so for those that doubted this before, yesterday's Sugar Bowl proved that we need a college football playoff system. Despite my allegiance to the Y, you had to be impressed with the way Utah handed it to a very talented Alabama team. After all, wasn't this the same 'Bama team that was ranked #1 all through November? Wasn't this the same 'Bama team that Florida beat to earn a spot in the national title game? Isn't Utah the only FBS team with a 0 after the dash? The Utes have now beaten 3 Top-15 teams and the only team to beat USC.

You could have a playoff system that includes the top 8 teams at the end of the year. The bowl system could be preserved as a part of the playoff system. Sure, there would be teams left out... but it's better in my mind that a #9 team, which this year would be Boise State, is left out of a playoff system than a strong... (gulp) underrated Utah team be left out of a title shot.
