Dr. David Morrow

Dr. David Morrow of Mount Pleasant, SC passed away yesterday at 6:00 pm. He was afflicted with a brain tumor which doctors tried to remove once, but it came back. He will be missed by his family and all those who knew him. I met Brother Morrow when I was serving as a missionary in Mount Pleasant, and I will always remember playing wiffle ball in their back yard after they had made dinner for Elder Sharon and me. I also remember playing baseball on P-day with the Morrow boys. The life of those boys is a testament to the kind of life that Brother Morrow lived. He was truly a great man and a Christlike example of love and service. I hope that all who knows him will pay their respects to his family and I wish them best for the Morrow family in this time of need.

South Carolina

So Savvy and I just got back from a week in South Carolina last Wednesday, and it was funny to see the responses of people when I told them where I went. The most common reaction was "What did you go to South Carolina for?" Well, for those of you who haven't been there, here is why it is 1) an amazing place, and 2) a place you should plan a vacation to.

Why it's an amazing place:
- A ton of geographic diversity... mountains, swamps, lakes, rivers, marsh, and coast. Incredible.
- Good ol' southern hospitality
- Boiled Peanuts... don't dog it until you try it
- Great BBQ... best pulled pork on the planet
- Tons of history... I mean TONS
- Great beaches
- Wayne and Betty

Why you should plan a vacation here:
- Again, amazing beaches. Myrtle Beach, Sullivan's Island, Isle of Palms, Hilton Head Island, Folly Beach.
- Again, tons of history... Charleston is one of the oldest cities in the United States and it's where the Civil War started... 'nuff said.
- It's the most relaxing place to vacation
- Great restaurants and tons of things to experience... old southern plantations, the market, huge gardens, great golf, and the ocean.
- Amazing people
